INTRODUCTION
This program has been designed to build the capacity of professionals in management of successful agricultural census. The program will expose delegates to fundamental concepts and principles based on international standards, to ensure that the quality of agricultural census results are comparable with international benchmarks. This agricultural census training program will be helpful for participants in the provision of reliable current data relating to crop and livestock production for the census year as well as generate useful standard for improving current crop and livestock statistics Data generated from agricultural census can have strong impact on the development of national agricultural policy. Reliable and timely agricultural data provide producers and governments the information they need to make well-informed decisions in business and policy. Accurate agricultural census helps to generate data usable for improvement of food security by informing the development of strategies to combat poverty and measure the impact of interventions. Agricultural census uses statistics compiled according to agreed on good practices, including practices for data collection, processing and dissemination, are crucial for economic and social development, providing an objective and replicable picture of the state of an economy, enabling comparisons, and setting baselines for measuring progress.

- To get detailed data on agricultural holders and their social characteristics;
- To get detailed data on the labor force by labor category, gender and nationality, in addition to obtaining detailed data about permanent labor by the education level;
- To create an integral relation between the agricultural census and the specialized statistical surveys, implemented periodically by way of statistical sampling, with the aim of ensuring inclusiveness in monitoring all achievements in various sub-activities covered by plant and animal agricultural activity;
- To conduct local, regional and international comparisons for the agricultural sector.
