Course Objective

This course was designed to help delegates to acquire broad skills in Public-Private Partnership for Development Projects.

The course will be very helpful for professionals whether in government departments, agencies, civil society organisations and personnel from the commercial sector to build their capacity to design, prepare, negotiate, implement and monitor Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) for development projects across the varying contexts of government-business relations.

  • Highlights the differences between PPP and traditional procurement of public infrastructure
  • The main benefits and limitations of the PPP procurement mechanism

MODULE 2 – PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP MODELS

  • Different models of public-private partnerships (PPPs)
  • Highlights of key characteristics of models.
  • Rationale for involving the private sector in infrastructure development
  • Determining which PPP model to select for achieving project objectives
